Carnival is sourced from smallholder farms scattered across the slopes of Mt. Elgon in Eastern Uganda, near the Kenyan border. Most farmers work plots of a hectare or less, growing coffee alongside food crops in the region's volcanic, mineral-rich soil. Cherries are hand-picked at peak ripeness and delivered to local washing stations, where they're pulped, fermented, and washed before drying — the process behind the clean, well-balanced cup that defines this lot. SL28 and SL34, both known for consistency and sweetness from The Great Lakes terroir.
