Nestled on the slopes of the Ngorongoro Crater, Gaia and Edelweiss Estates are exceptional coffee farms where wildlife from the Serengeti roams freely. Sitting at 1,620–1,850 masl in rich volcanic soils, they provide ideal conditions for specialty coffee.
Founded in 1930 and now managed by the third generation of the Vohora family, the estates span 1,500 and 976 acres respectively.
Harvested from June to November, cherries ripen slowly in Tanzania’s cool, dry season. Handpicked at full maturity, they are carefully sorted and rested in shade before processing to enhance sweetness and complexity.
