Malolo means to rest in Tok Pisin Papua New Guinea. This coffee has a smooth, comforting character with a naturally sweet and plum profile. It’s a balanced PNG espresso with a rounded body and an inviting sweetness. Vanilla brings a soft, creamy sweetness, while maple syrup adds depth and a gentle richness. Plum comes through with a subtle fruity brightness, giving the cup a lively finish without overpowering its smooth character.
It’s grown by smallholder farmers around Goroka in the Eastern Highlands of Papua New Guinea. These family-run farms rely on generations of traditional knowledge, with coffee deeply woven into their culture and daily lives. Alongside coffee, many families grow other crops for their own consumption and additional income. The result is a distinctive, approachable espresso that is smooth and sweet on its own, while also working beautifully in milk.

Malolo is produced by smallholder farming families around Goroka in the Eastern Highlands of Papua New Guinea. Most farms are family-operated and typically span one to two hectares, with coffee farming passed down through generations.
The farms are traditionally managed under shade trees and within diverse natural ecosystems, creating a rich environment for coffee cultivation. Many of the coffee trees are decades old and continue to be cared for using traditional, low-input farming practices.
Coffee is an important part of these families’ livelihoods and communities, alongside other crops grown for household needs and additional income.
Many producers are also involved in sustainability programs such as Rainforest Alliance and organic initiatives, supporting responsible farming, environmental stewardship, and stronger farming communities.
