Grown at nearly 2,000 masl in the loam-rich highlands of Kiambu County, this fully washed SL28/SL34 cup delivers ripe plum, dried fig and caramel in place of the sharp acidity Kenyan coffees are known for to be more rounded, distinctive profile from a farm with three generations behind it.

Daki Farm sits in the cool highlands of Githunguri, Kiambu County, where rich loam soils and reliable rainfall have supported coffee since 1965, when Mr. Symon Ngugi planted the estate's first trees shortly after Kenya's independence. A founding member of the local farmers' cooperative, he later built his own pulping station in 1985 with personally funding a three-kilometer electricity line to power it.
Stewardship passed to his son Ayub in 1995, who pushed the farm toward semi-organic, compost-based practices, and then to grandson Geoffrey Ngugi in 2024. Under three generations of care, Daki has become a regular Top 20 finisher at Kenya's Africa Coffee Trade Fair, culminating in this record lot at the 2026 auction.
