El Liquidambar is located in the community of Las Acacias in Marcala ́s city, department of La Paz. Ma Nery Marquez Granados and her husband planted the first coffee trees in 1980 on land that they inherited. They are a parent of 8 children. Since the passing of her husband; Ma Nery and her children found themselves in the task of maintaining the farm and the quality of the coffee. Some families collaborate with them in the maintenance of the farm such as pruning, fertilizing and harvesting. The families that carry out these activities on the farm make it special because they have the same dedication and passion that they feel. Thanks to that passion and hard work, Ma Nery have helped her children obtain their university degrees. Ma Nery dream of seeing all of her children finish their studies. through the cup of excellence program, she has obtained the 6th place prizes in the years of 2015 and 2017; the 24th position in the year 2019. thereby achieving that our coffee transcends to international markets.
