In San Antonio, Tolima, Elías Huelgos, his wife Nubia Medina, and their six children started with a barren sugarcane farm called El Espejo, now Los Girasoles. With determination, they cultivated coffee, at first selling it green for little profit. Believing in its potential, they shifted to specialty coffee. In 2010, their efforts were rewarded at Expo Especiales, ranking among the top entries.
