Jaguara's history began in 2001 with my father Antônio Wander, agronomist and researcher, and two agronomist friends who decided to plant coffee for the first time, believing that the microclimate in this region was perfect for growing coffee, with milder temperatures, good altitude and slightly flair terrain compared to the south of Minas Gerais.
In 2013, to innovate, I took over the farm. I followed the same steps as my father. I am an agronomist and researcher and, over time, together with the help of my wife Natália, an expert in specialty coffees, we began to map and carry out various studies and experiments on the farm. We use sustainable techniques, making the most of existing natural resources, the most valuable of which are the families we are able to provide with jobs and who depend on the farm.
In 2019, we participated for the first time in the Cup of Excellence contest with one of the micro-batches that we fermented, and our coffee was ranked the 5th Best Coffee in Brazil, with 90.47 points.
