The Kateshi estate is the largest coffee plantation owned by the Northern Coffee Corporation Limited. Located in the Northern Province of Zambia, it has a total of 2164 hectares of land from which 777 has been used for growing coffee.
Coffee development in the region started way back in 1975 when the Zambian Government got funding from the World Bank. Planting of coffee was initially done in plantations located in two states, Kateshi and Ngoli.
In 2012, Olam took over the ownership of 3 estates – Kateshi, Ngoli and Isanya.
