Helsar de Zarcero Micromill where the dehydrated coffee pulp thru the industrial process from organic coffee cherries was produced by Ricardo Perez, Marvin and Felipe Barrantes.
This coffee husk has been processed in their own organic coffee farms in West Valley Region, Costa Rica which they started way back in 2004 in the community of Llano Bonito de Naranjo. They also started a community of coffee producers group 4 years ago, and have positioned many micro lots from their farms in the world market, thru their partner exporter, Exclusive Coffees.
For three years, they have been researching with the University of Costa Rica, School of Food Science Technology, and after extensive studies, they decided to invest in a processing plant specifically for the pulping, sterilization and dehydration of coffee pulp.
