As a child, Ricardo Kriete fell in love with coffee, thanks in part to living on a coffee farm belonging to his family. The combined love for nature and good coffee led him to buy the El Rosario farm from his family and set him on a path to realise his dream to become a producer of great coffee.
Given the good results achieved in El Rosario, Ricardo had the vision to expand. His focus was on finding farms with the beans, at the best possible heights. It was then that on June 16, 2014, he expanded his operation and bought the “Buenos Aires” estate. This is 200sqm farm located in the Santa Ana volcano has an altitude of 1,200 to 1,350 meters above sea level and recorded rainfall levels of 1,900 to 2,200 mm annually. The coffee varieties found in this farm include Red and Orange Bourbon, Typica, Kenia, SL28 and Pacamara. These coffees can be processed naturally, washed or with honey, with a preferable drying using African beds with different amounts of sun or shade.
